Long story short - culf and I were homeless about 4 weeks because of a discrepancy in time from when our lease ended and her solicitors finished the paperwork for the new place. FYI - I don't recommend living in a budget hotel for 4 week straight. It does things to your brain ( Read more... )

What is up with that? I bought packs of actual bath salts from Wal-Mart to bring back to London with me, so I could, you know, have nice, relaxing baths, and was afraid customs was going to arrest me for possession.

Anyway, did not realize I haven't posted since June, so here it goes!

As tightening UK immigration laws are making it look like it's basically going to be impossible for me to stay here when my visa expires next year (1 March 2013, to be exact, unless someone would like to offer me a £20,000/year job? After almost a month of being constantly with others thanks to my trip home and having culf around last night, being alone in the flat right now is really weird.

Meeting my mom and aunt at Waterloo tomorrow for more touristy London things. Today we went to Hampton Court Palace and took a boat down the Thames, two things I hadn't done before.

Got my final assignment back for Editorial Processes and while I got a crappy grade for that assignment, it was still enough to keep my A for the course. Woo-hoo! At least it should be an 'A' though the official mark hasn't been posted. But the only grades are the four assignments for that class, and they average out to an 'A' so that's what it ( Read more... )

It's amazing how short a seven hour flight can feel when it's not preceded by a five hour delay. Despite the fact that I'm jet-lagged, it doesn't feel like I traveled at all today.
